The Kingdom Is A Treasure
Matthew 13:44
The Kingdom of God is of indescribable value. There is nothing within our lives that we would not gladly sacrifice in order to experience life under the rule and reign of God. The World (Satan’s Kingdom) offers us riches, fame, success, and significance through earthly means, but all of our deepest desires are met through a sold-out pursuit of The Kingdom.
44Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. —Matthew 13:44 (KJV)

The Treasure
The incredible worth of knowing Jesus and being connected to Him is worth ANY COST! It is not ever “EASY”, but it is worth it.

28“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?
29For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you,
30saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’
31“Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand?
32If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace.
33In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples. —Luke 14:28-33 (NIV)

25And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,
26If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
27And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. —Luke 14:25-27 (KJV)
The Sacrifice of Kingdom Life
Jesus’ life is the blueprint to the Kingdom Life. We must live as Jesus did. We are to take up our cross before we follow Jesus. We die to ourselves and crucify our desires to find new life in the Kingdom.

We Become
32Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering.
33Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated.
34You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.
35So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.
36You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. —Hebrews 10:32-36 (NIV)

Share the Wealth
“Renewable Energy”, or “Renewable Resources” – have become buzzwords in our society.
Most people who would stumble upon something of great value would do their best to just keep it to themselves. They wouldn’t want to share with others because that would mean less for them. The Kingdom of God is a treasure that has no limit, it cannot be exhausted…so we should be sharing it with everyone we encounter. Share the wealth of the Kingdom – there is plenty for everyone!
7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. —2 Corinthians 4:7 (KJV)
