“Jehovah-Nissi: The Lord is My Banner”

“Semper Fi”
Deuteronomy 7:9; Lamentations 3:22-24
“The Names of God Series”

Two amazing Old Testament stories paint a marvelous description of our God. He makes promises and He keeps promises because He is always faithful. His faithfulness is a “banner” that rallies His people to God’s side.
In Exodus 17:15, Moses calls God, “The Lord is my Banner.” And so, His faithfulness will be for us.

To Noah, God is the “olive leaf of hope.” The Lord promised to see Noah’s family through the flood, but hope rose when the dove brought the olive leaf back to the Ark. And so, God’s faithfulness will be our hope.

If God is faithful…

 Every
 He Says Is

 Every
 He Makes He Will

 Every
 We Face Will Produce

God’s Olive Leaves…

Memory Verse: “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments.” (Deuteronomy 7:9 NIV)
