20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. 21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged. —Colossians 3:20-21\

God is glorified when children listen to and obey their parents loving instructions about life.

28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. 29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, —Romans 1:28-30

12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. —Exodus 20:12

10 The proverbs of Solomon.

A wise son makes a glad father,
but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother. —Proverbs 10:1

A wise son hears his father’s instruction,
but a scoffer does not listen to rebuke. —Proverbs 13:1

The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice;
he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him.
25 Let your father and mother be glad;
let her who bore you rejoice. —Proverbs 23:24-25

6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. —Deut. 6:6

12 I appeal to you therefore, brothers,[a] by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.[b] 2 Do not be conformed to this world,[c] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.[d] —Romans 12:1-2

God is glorified when parents, but especially fathers, encourage their children and build hope in their hearts.
