Give Thanks | Heb. 12:28-29, Rom. 1:21-23

28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.” —HEBREWS 12:28-29

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. —ROMANS 1:21

If we are not grateful for the gifts God gives,
the gifts can very quickly become idols.

Satisfaction should lead to thankfulness.

When you receive GRACE the right response is GRATITUDE.

Be thankful for God’s common grace in your life!
Be thankful for God’s saving grace in your life!

1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
    his love endures forever.
2 Let Israel say:
    “His love endures forever.”
3 Let the house of Aaron say:
    “His love endures forever.”
4 Let those who fear the Lord say:
    “His love endures forever.” —PSALM 118:1-4

28 You are my God, and I will praise you;
    you are my God, and I will exalt you.
29 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
    his love endures forever. —PSALM 118:28-29

8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! —ROMANS 5:8-9

REAL WORSHIP COMES FROM A HEART OF THANKFULNESS!
