Love Is Worth Fighting For

1 Timothy 6:12
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made the good confession before many witnesses.

When we fight it should be for our

.

Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

When we fight we should fight against

.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
9Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
11Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
12Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

It is better to fight

someone than someone.

3 Ways to Fight For, Not Against:

Ephesians 4:26-27
26“Be angry, yet do not sin.” Do not let the sun set upon your anger, 27and do not give the devil a foothold.

Make a conscious decision to not go to bed

with anyone.

2 Timothy 2:23-24
23Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.

Stay away from

disagreements.

Proverbs 15:1
A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Be

with your words and tone.
