Imagine you are Hosea for a moment: How do you feel about God’s command? What does that teach you about God’s love and his relationship with us?

Think about the damage you have seen caused by infidelity, and then think about God’s love for an adulterous people—does his love seem boundless in that light? If not, why?

Did this story surprise you? Did it make you reevaluate your image of God? How so?

Is your approach to God one of fidelity or of consumerism? In what ways do we treat God as if he is a means to an end? Avoid abstract answers and focus on real, personal examples.
