
Love Matters Most

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” – Matthew 22:36-39
I. The best use of
A. Love
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. —Colossians 3:14
B. Love
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. —I Peter 4:8
…having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. —Colossians 2:14
C. Lover reverberates
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. —I Corinthians 13:13
If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. —I Corinthians 13:3
II. The best time to love is
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. —Galatians 6:10
The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. —Galatians 5:6 (NLT)
