The Deep End - Intercession.jpg

So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and

in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. —Ezekiel 22:30

Intercession invites us into God’s care and concern for others.

It’s prayer that petitions God on behalf of .

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers,

and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. —1 Timothy 2:1-6

Examples of Intercessors:
1.

. Genesis 18:16-33

  1. . Exodus 17:8-16 & 32:1-14
Psalm 106:25 “So He said that He would destroy them. But Moses, His chosen one, in the way to keep His anger from destroying them.”

  2. . Romans 8:26-27
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.

  3. - Romans 8:34
Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also for us.

Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to

with God on their behalf. —Hebrews 7:25
Truly, truly I tell you, you ask the Father for in my name, he will give it to you. So far you haven’t asked for anything in my name. Keep asking and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. —John 16:23-24

Pratice:
