The bible is filled with words and phrases like “While… ,” “Then… ,” and “It came to pass… .” These are all references to time, and in every case what God said came into fulfilment. Not in man’s preferred time but at the right time to get the impact that God desired. I could argue that God’s time is the right time.
There is this fleshly drive in us to try to bring things we desire into fruition in our own time and under our own power. Many of us are working against the power of God and don’t even know it; because it is not his plan we seek, but our own.
We just finished a series on “Interruptions” and they come in two forms.
1. When we work against God, our interruptions are punitive.
Jonah tried to take matters into his own hands. When he did, he had a punitive intervention to bring about what God desired.
2. The other interruption is an anointed experience.
Moses had one with a burning bush, Mary had one with a visit from an angel, but make no mistake about it, it’s still all to bring about what God has intended.
What we ought to desire as believers are less punitive interruptions and more anointed experiences.

Jesus performed His father’s will and it blessed the entire world.
Who’s will are you operating on?
God’s plan cannot be filled with man-made substitutes!
If we want the best results we must WAIT on Him to impart what he has already designed us for.
We are perfectly made for our purpose, but imperfectly made for our will.
Crises relationship vs Sincere relationship
Which heart do you serve God with?
A heart of desperation or a heart of submission?
Because His plan is unknown, no matter which heart posture you have. If you want God’s plan, you will have to wait.
Do you wait well?
Information before application can undermine your revelation
What was God doing in Noah all those 75 years? Building a relationship with the man whose obedience would restart all humanity.
What was God doing in David all those 14 years? Building the next king of Israel.
What was God doing in Joseph those 13 years? Building skills for his appointment.
Is God developing you for your appointment while you wait? Yes He is!
Mark 4:15-17
Psalm 106:10-15
Crisis religion: Rescue > Then, I will believe in you > Then, I will praise you > Disregard and Neglect.
We desire to insert God into our plans.
Psalm 106:16
When we have an internal shallow heart for God, it’s easy for the enemy to plant seeds that grow negative things outwardly into our lives.
Faster is not always better. God’s way is the way of purpose. Man’s way is provisional.
Matthew 6:19-20
Waiting time with God is not wasted time.
Psalm 121:3
Psalm 27:13-14
Don’t just worship after God moves! Worship while you wait. It edifies God, and it encourages your spirit!
Psalm 150:6
Isaiah 40:31
Ephesians 2:10
God has preordained something in you for this season. The wait is over.
