Focal verse for the year:
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” —Matthew 7:7
WE BELIEVE
It shall come to pass in the latter day that the mountain of the ouse of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and it shall be lifted up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it. —Micah 4:1
In that day
In that coming day —Micah 4:6
gone have many nations and said, Come and we go up to the mount of Jehovah, and unto the house of the God of Jacob, and He doth teach us of His ways, and we do walk in His paths, for from Zion doth go forth a law, and a word of Jehovah from Jerusalem. —Micah 4:2 YLT
…They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. —Micah 4:2 NIV
Everyone will sit under their own vine and under their own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the Lord Almighty has spoken. —Micah 4:4
How to be encouraged by the Hope of “That Day”
Be encouraged because God is up to something in your life.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. —Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Be encouraged because Hope is like an anchor.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. —Proverbs 13:12
And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. —Psalm 39:7> This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it] - a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil [of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells] —Romans 8:25 AMP
Be encouraged because Hope comes from the Father.
I lift my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and you’re coming in from this time forth and forevermore. —Psal, 121:1-8
Be encouraged because Hope comes through Jesus.
For in this hope we were saved —Romans 8:24
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you. —1 Peter 3:3-4 NIV
