1) How would you define Sabbath?
2) What are some of the historical ways that people have celebrated the Sabbath?
3) Have you ever practiced a Sabbath rest? Do you do that now? What does it look like?
4) Scotty gave us four reasons that God created the Sabbath as a holy day:
• To reveal His character. What parts of God’s character are revealed by His desire for us to take a Sabbath rest?
• To bless people. How does the Sabbath bless people?
• To remind us of our limits. How does the Sabbath remind us of our limits?
• To teach us to trust Him. How does taking a Sabbath demonstrate that we trust God?
5) If you don’t practice Sabbath, do you think it would be a difficult thing to do? What could hold you back from taking a day of rest?
