Icebreaker - What characteristics describe the healthiest relationships you’ve ever experienced?

1. What specific sins are most destructive and ensnaring in our culture today?

2. Have you ever helped somebody battle sin? What was that like?

3. How have you honored those who disciple you? Have you been honored for your investment in someone else’s discipleship?

4. Why is good works an expected response to the Holy Spirit’s working within followers of Jesus?

5. In your own words, what does it mean to boast in the cross of Christ? What did His sacrifice accomplish?

6. Is there anyone who speaks badly of you or treats you poorly because of your faith in Jesus Christ? Is so, briefly explain. If not, in what ways are you living for Jesus on a daily basis in the presence of unbelievers?

7. How are you experiencing the peace, mercy, and grace of God within the community of faith (your local church)? In what ways are you extending these blessings from God to those within the church?
