1. Jesus was rejected by the people of his hometown. What rejection have you experienced that stung the most?
   

2. What was the content of Jesus’ teaching in Mark 6:1-2 (see Luke 4:18-21)? What does this tell us about Jesus’ earthly ministry?
   

3. Read Mark 6:7-12. Why do you think Jesus orders his disciples to take so little for their journey?
   

4. John the Baptist’s martyrdom is described in vv.14-29. How do you think the hostility against Christ and the gospel in those days compare to hostility Christians face today?
   

5. Read Mark 6:30-44. In what ways would you like God to multiply the resources or energy you have in this season of life? If he did, what would you want the results to be?
