Day 4: Made in the Image of God – Part 2

The fact that we are made in the image of God has profound and personal ramifications for our lives. It changes the way I treat others! Everyone has value and worth as an image bearer of their creator. People matter. To treat others with disdain is to live and act in a way that is inconsistent with understanding we are made in God’s image. We ground civil rights not in the law of the land or even a rule in the Bible but in the image of God. God also created humanity with a conscience and a moral compass. All cultures and people testify to an inner sense of right and wrong. Our moral capacity as humans make us accountable to God. We have been made as moral beings!

Read Genesis 9:6, Ecclesiastes 7:29, James 3:9
