Kingdom of God - Our Testimony

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” —Acts 1:8 NLT

And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb
and by their testimony.
And they did not love their lives so much
that they were afraid to die. —Revelation 12:11 NLT

Our Testimony - It’s Our Story as a Follower of Christ

Our Testimony - Gives Hope

Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ. —1 Peter 3:15-16 NLT

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.
Let the whole world know what he has done. —1 Chronicles 16:8 NLT

Our Testimony - Is part of Evangelism in the community

But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? —Romans 10:14 NLT

Our Testimony - Is required as a Follower of Christ

“Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven. —Matthew 10:32-33 NLT

This is difficult…and even scary…

Our Testimony - Brings God Glory

As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon possessed begged to go with him. But Jesus said, “No, go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been.” So the man started off to visit the Ten Towns of that region and began to proclaim the great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed at what he told them. —Mark 5:18-20 NLT
