Fruits of the Spirit
Galatians 5:13-26
“GENTLENESS”
Now the eighth fruit of the spirit is
. (Galatians 5:22-23).
Gentleness does
come naturally
Gentleness is not so much about our natural personality traits as it is about our
and how we approach others.
What
of gentleness is “fruit of the Spirit” gentleness?
When a Christian surrenders to the Lord’s desire for a heart of gentleness, that person becomes something
different than what non-believers see in the world.
How can I
gentleness to others?
Gentleness
others first and doesn’t act like it minds doing so.
Gentleness doesn’t hate or
insults at those who are doing things that our view may perceive as wrong.
Gentleness
that we are all sinners (Romans 3:23),
Gentleness
grace (undeserved favor), love, and kindness to even the most difficult-to-like people.
Gentleness is a
answer, even when the words might hurt the recipient (Galatians 6:1).
Gentleness is
Weakness
How are you
gentleness into your own spirit?
Human
under
control is a half-broken weapon in the hands of a child. (Isaiah 55:9, Job 38:4, 1 John 3:20, Psalm 44:21).
When we are filled with the Spirit’s fruit of gentleness, we will
others with righteousness (2 Timothy 2:24-25).
We will
readily (Matthew 18:23-35).
and sectarianism will disappear (Philippians 1:15-18, John 3:30).
Gentleness also means
up the right to judge what is best for ourselves and others.
To Live in a spirit of gentleness toward God is to
His judgment on people and issues (Galatians 6:1, Matthew 21:5, Proverbs 15:4).
