What is a Missionary?

A missionary is one who has been uniquely called by God to be sent out by a local church across geographical, cultural, and/or language barriers to plant the gospel of Jesus Christ in those areas of the world where the message of Jesus is largely, if not entirely unknown, with the goal to establish and strengthen local churches for ongoing gospel ministry.
