Foolish or Wise?
-A slave of Christ acknowledges and acts accordingly to the belief that I am His, here to do and be whatever He wants me to do or be!
-Knowledge is knowing that tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing you don’t put tomato in a fruit salad.
A person can be knowledgeable without being wise.
-Knowledge is what is gathered over time through study and experience.
Wisdom acts properly upon that knowledge - wisdom is the fitting application of knowledge.
-Knowledge understands the traffic light has turned red which means to stop; wisdom applies the brakes.
-Knowledge sees the rising water and knows the danger; wisdom turns around.
-Knowledge is being aware of God’s ways; wisdom obeys them.
-Knowledge learns of God; wisdom loves God. IF you love me, you will do what I say.
-Foolishness has nothing to do with knowledge and everything to do with wisdom!
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. —James 1:5
In any given situation, what is the wise thing to do? God knows. The question is do you?
But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. —James 1:6-8
You can’t expect to receive what the wisdom of God brings when you only operate in the wisdom of God periodically!
Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. —Proverbs 13:20
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.” —Proverbs 3:5-6
