Welcome

Introit | I Love You, Lord arr by L. Klein

Call to Worship (Psalm 100:1-3)
Leader: Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
People: Let us serve the Lord with gladness, and enter God’s presence with singing.
Leader: For the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are his;
All: We are God’s people, the sheep of his pasture. Let us worship the Lord!

Hymn | “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty”

Prayer of Confession (unison)
Forgive us, Lord, for these same tongues that praise you also curse others made in your image. These same hearts that seek your will also harbor lusts and greed. These same minds that meditate on your word also cling to our own perspective. These same hands that serve you are sometimes clenched in anger.

Transform us, Lord. Renew our bodies, minds, hearts, and tongues in ways that will rebuild your kingdom within us, and through us, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Silent Prayer

Assurance of Pardon (Romans 8:11)
Leader: If the Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
People: God who raised Christ Jesus will also give life to our mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in us.
Leader: In Christ, we are forgiven!
All: Thanks be to God.

Gloria Patri

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end, Amen. Amen.

Scripture | Nehemiah 13

Prayers of the People & The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen.
