Food For Thought

1. Read Matthew 6:1–4. What acts of service does Jesus refer to here? In what ways would these be important to the well-being of others?

2. In what ways might our acts of service be done for the wrong reasons? How do we go about making sure to do them for the right reasons?

3. Who is one person who has served you well? What is one act of service (maybe two) that someone has done for you that has changed your view of serving others?

4. When was the last time you served someone in the ways mentioned above? What is one thing you could do this week that would be a way to honor God in heaven by serving others?
