Chair 4

A disciple is a person

like and for Jesus.

“We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name,” he said. “Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man’s blood.” Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings!” —Acts 5: 28-29

“Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.” —Acts 9:31

“And when they could not find them, they dragged Jason and some of the brothers before the city authorities, shouting, “These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also.” —Acts 17:6

“In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.” —Colossians 1:6

If you call yourself a follower of Jesus, how many disciples of Jesus have you made in your life?

Jesus’ command is NOT

…. It is

Could we, in just 3-4 years, create a movement of disciple-makers, just like Jesus did?

Jesus lived FULLY

on God, FULLY , FULLY upon the , and the .

“You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” —John 15:14-15

Life Application

Take some time this week to dream about what it would look like for you to become just like one of Jesus first disciples.
Write down some things in your life you need to re-prioritize to become a disciple-maker through the power of Jesus.
Commit to not let the next year go by without making 1 disciple for Jesus.
Share with a trusted friend.
