MIRACLES ARE MESSY

THE MIRACLE OF GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE MESSINESS OF OUR UNDERSTANDING

Walking in Step With The Spirit

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. —Galatians 5:25

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. —Galatians 5:25 (NIV)

“Tapping Out”

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. —Romans 8:14

1. Tapping out begins with an encounter with Jesus.

1 Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest
2  and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
3  As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven.
4  Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” —Acts 9:1 - 4

2. Tapping out continues with a revelation of who Jesus really is.

And he said, “Who are You, Lord?”
Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” —Acts 9:5

All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. —John 1:3

No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.” —John 10:18

These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.” —Revelation 17:14

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. —Revelation 22:13

3. Tapping out is the access point to walking in step with the Spirit.

6  So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
7  And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one.
8  Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. —Acts 9:6 - 8

4. To walk in step with the spirit is to tap out of the natural.

And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank. —Acts 9:9

1  He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2  I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.” —Psalms 91:1 - 2

1  “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2  Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
3  You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4  Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. —John 15:1 - 5

6. To tap out is to let go and take hold.

28  Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” —Matthew 11:28 - 30
