You prepare a table for me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me.
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

—Psalm 23:5-6

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

—Psalm 23:1-3

He provides for me.

Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity…

—Hebrews 6:1

Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

—James 1:4

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

—Psalm 23:4

He protects me.

“You have to thank God for the seemingly good and the seemingly bad because really, you don’t know the difference (until we get to heaven)” -Jennie Allen

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

—Psalm 23:8

He is preparing me.

Don’t let the enemies that surround you distract you from the banquet of God’s presence and peace that is readily available.

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

—1 Thessalonians 5:18

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.

—1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
