Red Table
Introduction
32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” —John 8:32 (NIV)
Five Types Of Entanglements
27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. —Matthew 5:27-28 (NIV)
9 Because Israel’s immorality mattered so little to her, she defiled the land and committed adultery with stone and wood. —Matthew 5:27-28 (NIV)
23 For this command is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and correction and instruction are the way to life, 24 keeping you from your neighbor’s wife, from the smooth talk of a wayward woman. 25 Do not lust in your heart after her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyes. —Proverbs 6:23-25 (NIV)

Three Ways Entanglements Impact Lives
1 An Entanglement Can Threaten
11 When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. 12 Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.
13 Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love. —1 Corinthians 13:11-13 New Living Translation (NLT)7 You are altogether beautiful, my darling, beautiful in every way. —Song of Solomon 4:7 (NLT)
2 An Entanglement Can Cause
17 The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.
18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. —Psalm 34:17-18 (NLT)2 The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. 3 Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear! —Luke 12:2-3 (NLT)
3 An Entanglement Can Destroy
9 Even my best friend, the one I trusted completely, the one who shared my food, has turned against me. 10 Lord, have mercy on me. Make me well again, so I can pay them back!
—Psalm 41:9-10 (NLT)24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. —Genesis 2:24-25 (NKJV)
19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say,
“I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord.
20 Instead, “If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.”
21 Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good. —Romans 12:19-21 (NLT)
Conclusion
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. —1 John 1:9 (NIV)
