- Share something with the group that you did or observed as foolish or unwise. What made it so?
- Read Colossians 1:9-10. Why do you think Paul was continually asking God to fill the Colossians with the knowledge of God’s will?
- When you hear someone say that they want to know God’s will, what do you think they mean?
- When have you needed God’s wisdom and understanding? For what do you need God’s wisdom and understanding right now? (James 1:2-8)
- What does it mean to please God? How do we please God? (Genesis 8:21; Psalm 19:14; John 5:30; Romans 12:1; Philippians 4:18; Hebrews 11:6).
- Read and discuss the meaning and application of Psalm 2.
- How can the group pray for you in your struggle to walk wisely and walk worthy?
Discipleship challenge: Pray for someone and then write them a note to tell them how you prayed for them.
