1. Read Romans 8:26-27
i. What weaknesses can the Spirit help you with? In what ways have you seen the Spirit help with your weaknesses?

ii. Have you ever struggled with not knowing what to pray or how to pray or feared praying for the wrong thing? Discuss these feelings considering the truth spoken in 8:26b.

iii. Discuss the significance of the Holy Spirit making intercession for believers.

2. Read Romans 8:28
i. In what ways have you seen this verse used incorrectly? What is the key to being part of those who will one day have all things work together for good?

3. Read Romans 8:29-30; 2 Peter 3:9
a. In what ways has the word “predestined” or “pre-determined” caused you or those you know struggles in the past?

b. Discuss some of the ways you’ve heard this word explained. How do these fit with the character of God as loving and just? Giving commands that all are accountable to and His desire that “none should perish.”
