1 Thessalonians 5:23-28

1. Pray that our Faithful God of Peace will Help Us

to Him . (Vs. 23, 24, Heb 13:20-21, Jude 19, James 3:15, 1 Cor 2:10-12)
Hebrews 13:20-21, “Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus—the great Shepherd of the sheep—through the blood of the everlasting covenant, equip you with everything good to do his will, working in us what is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
Jude 19, “These people create divisions and are worldly, not having the Spirit.”
James 3:15, “Such wisdom does not come down from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.”
1 Corinthians 2:10-12, “Now God has revealed these things to us by the Spirit, since the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except his spirit within him? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who comes from God, so that we may understand what has been freely given to us by God.”
2. Pray that our Faithful God of Peace will Help Us . (Vs. 23, 25, 1 Thess 4:9-10)
1 Thessalonians 4:9-10, “About brotherly love: You don’t need me to write you because you yourselves are taught by God to love one another. In fact, you are doing this toward all the brothers and sisters in the entire region of Macedonia. But we encourage you, brothers and sisters, to do this even more…”
3. Pray that our Faithful God of Peace will Help Us Be . (Vs. 23, 1 Thess 4:3-5, 2 Cor 3:17-18, Heb 10:23)
1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, “For this is God’s will, your sanctification: that you keep away from sexual immorality, that each of you knows how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not with lustful passions, like the Gentiles, who don’t know God.”
2 Corinthians 3:17-18, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at, the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.”
Hebrews 10:23, “Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, since he who promised is faithful.”
