“Why Was the Law Given?”

Galatians 3:15-25
November 8, 2020

Main Point: The Old Testament Law was not given to secure the promise. Instead, the Law reveals our sin and points us to the Savior who obeyed the Law on our behalf and then died in our place so that we might receive the promised blessing.

I. The Law Cannot Change the Promise
Galatians 3:15-18

II. The Law Does Not Replace the Promise
Galatians 3:19-23

III. The Law’s Purpose is to Lead us to Christ
Galatians 3:24-25
