Origins of fear

• Fear gains access to the

  through temptations and distractions.

  Eve’s mind was open to temptation / distraction precisely because it was not open to the goodness and faithfulness of God. The Spirit of fear and the fear of God feed off of the same plate!

• Fear begins to dictate

If a man fears the wrong thing, he will probably not fear the right thing. If he fears the right thing enough, he will not fear the wrong thing at all. What is the ‘right’ thing to fear? GOD! All lesser fears will be swallowed up in the life of a person who fears God alone!
