1. Read Matthew 27:45-46. What does this moment show us about Jesus’ humanity?


2. Read Psalm 22:24 and Psalm 139:7-8. What does this verse reveal about God’s heart as Jesus cried out?


3. Read 2 Corinthians 5:21 and 1 Peter 2:24. How do these verses give insight to the transaction that took place on the cross?


4. Read Matthew 27:50-53. How was the power of Jesus’ sacrifice displayed in these verses?


5. Read Psalm 22:1. This verse in Psalm was written as a prophecy that was fulfilled as Jesus cried out to God on the cross. Now read verses 27-31. How does this prophetic psalm end?


6. What are the beliefs about God you cling to when you feel stuck in the caves of life?


7. Read Micah 7:8. We will fall, but when we do God is always there to pick us up. Where in your life have you experienced this?
