Questions for Spiritual Growth

Our Cornerstone mission is To Know Christ and Make Him Known. Community Groups help us to live out our mission as Family, Missionaries, and Servants.

  1. Read 1 Corinthians 9:7-14 and 1 Timothy 5:17-18. How do these verses help us to understand Galatians 6:6? What is the spiritual principle behind this precept?

  2. Is the sharing of “all good things” limited to financial support? What does a healthy relationship between teacher and student or pastor and congregation look like?

  3. In what ways does a farmer reap more than he has sown? What are the costs of ministering to others? How are the rewards of the harvest greater than the cost of the seed?

  4. How are you sowing to please the Spirit in your specific set of God-given circumstances?

  5. What kinds of things may cause us to lose heart when serving or ministering to others? (Because of the danger brought in by the legalists, Paul may be preaching to himself in 6:9-10). What encouragement does Paul provide for those losing heart?

6. According to Galatians 6:10, what responsibility do believers have toward each other?

Community Group as Missionaries:
7. How can we encourage one another to keep sowing the gospel seed in the lives of those who don’t know Christ?

Community Group as Servants:
8. Is there an area of service that you are growing discouraged in? How can this passage encourage you to redouble your labors?
