Why did Jesus leave Heaven to be born on Earth? Why did He live in poverty? Why would He be rejected and despised by the people He loved? Two words found in Luke 22:20 - “For you!”

He called you
“One day Jesus called together his twelve disciples…” Luke 9:1a

He gave you
“….and gave them power and authority…” Luke 9:1b

He sent you
“Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.” Luke 9:2
