Day 13: A covenant with David

The reason we study the covenants is because in them we see the biblical proof of God’s job description, one in which He has signed off on Himself. The covenant with David stands in continuity with the previous covenants. God guaranteed a Davidic king on the throne and that the kingdom of David would be established and secured by a descendant. The Davidic Covenant is unconditional because God does not place any conditions of obedience upon its fulfillment.
