And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. —Acts 2:44-47 (ESV)

for

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. —Genesis 1:27 (ESV)

2. You Were

to Christ is to a Member of God’s Family

In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. —Ephesians 2:12-13, 19 (NLT)

“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” —Acts 4:12 (ESV)

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. —Romans 10:9 (ESV)

Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins, turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ to show that you have received forgiveness for your sins… —Acts 2:38 (NLT)
