SERIES TEXT: Hosea 4:6 NKJV

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. —Hosea 4:6 NKJV

DESTROYED (Hebrew) – to be dumb or silent (to not speak); to fail or perish; be brought to silence

KNOWLEDGE (Hebrew) – perception, discernment, understanding, wisdom; to discern and to recognize

My people are failing because they have been brought to silence from a (or because of), a lack of discernment and an ability to recognize, understand and see with their spiritual eyes the season and time they are living in.” —Hosea 4:6

TODAY’S TEXT: Jeremiah 1:4-5 NIV

The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” —Jeremiah 1:4-5 NIV

Christians need to know what the Bible says concerning LIFE!

God’s Word clearly reveals and states that He values pre-born life.

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! —Psalms 139:13-17 NLT

Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was childless. The Lord answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant. The babies jostled each other within her, and she said, “Why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the Lord. The Lord said to her, “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated; one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger.” —Genesis 25:21-23 NIV

From birth I was cast upon you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God. —Psalms 22:10 NIV

At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. —Luke 1:39-44 NIV

Old Testament scripture actually places a greater emphasis on the protection of life for a pregnant women than for others in society.

If people are fighting and hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman’s husband demands and the court allows. But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life. —Exodus 21:22-23 NIV

From the moment of conception, life begins!

The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” —Jeremiah 1:4-5 NIV

Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to die; save them as they stagger to their death. Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.” For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve. —Proverbs 24:11-12 NLT

Rescue the perishing; don’t hesitate to step in and help. If you say, “Hey, that’s none of my business,” will that get you off the hook? Someone is watching you closely, you know — Someone not impressed with weak excuses. —Proverbs 24:11-12 MSG

According to science, the earliest human embryo is biologically alive. It fulfills all 4 of the “Scientific Criteria” needed to establish biological life:

1) Metabolism

2) Growth

3) Reaction to stimuli

4) Reproduction

All the genetic material that is needed to fully define and mature this human being is already present from the point of conception:

18 days after conception a baby’s heart begins to beat with its own blood

28 days from conception a baby has eyes and ears

At 42 days the baby has brain waves

At 10 weeks babies can feel pain and even have developed tiny fingernails

Abortion IS NOT a “Political” subject… this is a “Biblical” subject!

If we are as intelligent as we say we are… why are we ignoring science that proves there is LIFE in the womb?

2 - Psalms 139:13

This is what the Lord says – “He who made you, who formed you in the womb and who will help you…” —Isaiah 44:2 NIV
