Lord, we have come this day to hear your words of healing love and hope. Enter our hearts and our spirits and teach us to follow you. Give us courage and strength to be your faithful disciples. AMEN.

Lord bless these your children and their backpacks as they begin another school year. Give them receptive ears and hearts to hear what is taught them. Keep them from danger and from fear. Guard them from the COVID virus. When they are in new places and with new people, help them to remember that you have written their names on the palm of your hand. Let them always know that they are your children in the world. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord God, we ask your blessings on these women and men who serve you in so many different ways. Keep them safe from all harm, we especially the COVID virus. We pray that you would give them patience, wisdom, and a sense of humor. Use them to show children your love and to guide children as they grow in the body of Christ. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
