“The Name of Goodness”

Exodus 20:7
“Living the Good[ness] Life” Series

What’s in a name? In February and March, we looked at the various names for God found in the Old Testament. Names mean something. Names are often associated with certain traits and behaviors. Some names convey a message just in the hearing of that name. God said, “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.”

Becoming “good” (like God) is not just a matter of knowing right from wrong. It’s a matter of knowing God Himself. That’s where change begins.

in a Name?

the Name of God.

How

Name makes a in our lives.

Memory Verse: “…Blessed be Your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise. You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship You.” (Nehemiah 9:5b-6 NIV)
