Prayer Points of Emphasis: Increase

  1. Pray to know God better.
    • “[We have not stopped praying for you] …so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord … growing in the knowledge of God,” (Colossians 1:10)
    • “ I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[a] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.” (Ephesians 1:17)

  2. Pray for a deeper sense of hope.
    • “I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers… I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,” (Ephesians 1:16,18)

  3. Pray for the increase of good works.
    • “ [We have not stopped praying for you]…so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work,” (Colossians 1:10)
    • “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)

  4. Pray for a greater faith.
    • “Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24)
    • “ I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.” (Ephesians 3:16-17)
