For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Who is the Promised Messiah and what does he offer?

  1. He

    “…Wonderful Counselor…”

    Being , he knows how I ;
    Being , he knows what I .

    “…Mighty God…”

  3. He

    me
    “…Everlasting Father…”

  4. He

    He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Revelation 21:4

The key to experiencing all this: I allow Him to

in my life

“…and the government will be on his shoulders…”

ADVENT MEDITATIONS

  1. Reread Isaiah 9:6. Which of these descriptions of the Messiah means most to you right now? Which do you feel you need most right now?
  2. The word father has different meaning for everyone. What do you think when you hear the word “father?” We see in our key verse that we have an Everlasting Father. How is your Everlasting Father different than your earthly father?
  3. Read Deuteronomy 31:8. What does reading this scripture mean to you and your relationship with your Heavenly Father?
  4. Read James 1:17. What are some of the “good and perfect gifts” that your Everlasting Father has given you today? Give him thanks.
