Colossians 3:16-17

After telling us what the new garments of a believer look like (Colossians 3:12-15), Paul tells us how these divine attributes can be lived out in a life of worship to our Heavenly Father. Since, the characteristics of our flesh are in opposition to Christlikeness, the solution to this conundrum is to Let the Word of Christ DWELL in us richly. Live in us. Take root in us. To live this new way in community we must allow Him to put the old man to death and replace our old ways with His New Ways.

Questions for Small Group Discussion:

  1. Would those that know me best describe me using characteristics found inside or outside the SOG circle?

  2. In which sector am I most prone to live life outside of the SOG circle?

  3. What is the prescription for growing in the new self (living inside the SOG circle)?

  4. Who is God calling me to share this information with?
