Embrace a Culture
Part of I've Got A Story

11 And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony.” Revelation 12:11

When we embrace a culture, we begin to reflect what we have embraced.

“Your culture is a combination of what you create and what you allow.” Craig Groeschel

18 If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. 19 The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.” John 15:18-19

4 Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you.” 1 Peter 4:4

Embrace a culture that makes a Kingdom impact.

A culture of legacy.

4 We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders.” Psalm 78:4

A culture of generosity.

6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. ‘For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.’ 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 9 As the Scriptures say, ‘They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.’ 2 Corinthians 9:6-9

A culture of forgiveness.

31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. 32 Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:31-32
