You know how, when you were a small child, you were taught the holy Scriptures; and it is these that make you wise to accept God’s salvation by trusting in Christ Jesus. The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us do what is right. It is God’s way of making us well prepared at every point, fully equipped to do good to everyone. —2 Timothy 3:15-17 (TLB)
Do you want more and more of God’s kindness and peace? Then learn to know God better and better. For as you know Him better, He will give you, through His great power, everything you need for living a truly good life: He even shares His own glory and His own goodness with us! —2 Peter 1:2-3 (TLB)

BIBLE STUDY QUESTIONS
1) What was the one big thing from Sunday’s worship service that blessed you the most and why?
2) Are you familiar with Critical Race Theory? A clip of the following video was shown in church on Sunday. It is a five minute video. Click here to watch the entire video: What Is Critical Race Theory?
3) Ibram Kendi is one of the nation’s leading proponents of CRT. Pastor Jason played this video of Ibram Kendi explaining that antiracists reject “Savior Theology” and embrace Liberation Theology. If you not familiar with Liberation Theology, it may be worth your time to see how this false theology is aligned with the various social justice movements that are attacking the church, the family, and our nation.
“I recommend the book FAULT LINES by Voddie Baucham for a detailed yet easy to read explanation of why CRT and the Woke Movement is a false religion.” —Pastor Jason
In contrast to the unsure, insecure, wavering, changing, shifting, unreliable, untrustworthy notions of men, the Word of the living God is sure and the word means unwavering, immovable, unmistakable, worthy to be trusted and reliable. The Word then provides a foundation on which life and eternal destiny can be built without hesitation. Let’s think deeply about Psalm 19:
Psalm 19:7 - The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
4) What characteristics of God’s Word do we learn from Psalm 19:7?
Psalm 19:8 - the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
5) Where does a believer go to find joy? Where does a believer go to find relief, happiness, deliverance from sorrow, anxiety and depression? It is the Word that rejoices the heart. How and why does God’s Word help us?
6) The word “pure” in Psalm 19:8 refers to the fact that the Word of God is clear and lucid and helps us see clearly who God is and who we are and what life is about. Contrast that with the worldviews that you find in society that bring fear, confusion, and death.
Psalm 19:9 - the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. 11 Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
7) Do you know how hard it is for people to find truth, to find something or someone to completely trust? In fact, most people will say that they don’t completely trust anyone or anything. But we have the Word of God which is “clean” – which means it is pure and without error. That means it is completely trustworthy at all times and forever. How would you describe the value of the Bible?
Psalm 19:12 - Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults. 13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless,and innocent of great transgression. 14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
8) If we study and meditate on the Scripture, we will discover areas of life that are not aligned with God’s will. These are sins that God will forgive and His God’s Spirit will help us overcome as we live according to God’s Word. Meditation is to the heart what digestion is to the body; it is the taking in of the Word of God and making it a part of the inner being. As the heart and mind think on the Word all day long, the Spirit guides the life. This is what it means to walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16) and to have the spiritual mind (Romans 8:1–8). What can you start doing specifically this week to utilize God’s Word more in your life?
9) Pray for your church family and spiritual leaders.
