We get our identity as a church and as Christians from Jesus.

Three implications of Jesus having all authority:

1) Jesus gets to call the shots.

Jesus is the ultimate authority in our lives.

We must come to Jesus in unconditional surrender.

2) You can trust Jesus to call the shots.

Jesus willingly laid down His authority to save you.

Jesus does not use His authority like a club, He uses it to bring you life.

3) Let Jesus call the shots.

The Christian life is about desiring for Jesus to call the shots and then identifying areas where we are not allowing Him to do so.

We want the authority Jesus has.

Identify the areas of your life where you are still calling the shots and give Jesus the authority He deserves in those areas.
