Distraction
But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. V40a

Obligation
“My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details!” V41b

Victimization
She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work?” V40b

Interpretation
“Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” V42b

Know there is a “hard worker” in all of us: Keep working for Kingdom work
Know there are moments to sit at the feet of Jesus: Keep your quiet time with God
