When Angels Crowd Around the Windows of Heaven
1 Peter 1:8-12 (NKJ)
8whom having not [d]seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
10Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, 11searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. 12To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to [e]us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into. 1 Peter 1:8-12 NKJ
When Angels crowd around the windows of Heaven . . .
It Is to Wonder at the
Verse 11 indicates that the Spirit showed the prophets how the Christ would suffer and then be glorified.
It Is to Rejoice in the
Verse 10 asserts that the Old Testament prophets spoke of God’s Grace being extended to sinful men.
It Is to Watch the
Verse 12 tells that God’s spokesmen have been foretelling and telling the Gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit.
