07/31/2022 SEEK FIRST HIS KINGDOM: WEEK 7
July 31, 2022

SEEK FIRST HIS KINGDOM

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. —Matthew 6:33

9  In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
10  Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. —Matthew 6:9 - 10

TREASURES OF THE KINGDOM

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. —Matthew 13:44

How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth! —Psalms 119:103

The law of Your mouth is better to me Than thousands of coins of gold and silver. —Psalms 119:72

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3  And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
4  and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
5  Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
6  For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
8  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. —Romans 5:1 - 8

1. The treasure of faith unto peace with God.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our
Lord Jesus Christ —Romans 5:1

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. —Romans 3:28

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. —Galatians 2:16

2. The treasure of grace through faith.

Through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. —Romans 5:2

6  So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.
7  ‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” ’ ” —Zechariah 4:6 - 7

That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, —Ephesians 3:16

Therefore take up the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to withstand in the
evil day, and having done all, to STAND. —Ephesians 6:13

3. The treasure of hope through trials.

3  And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
4  and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
5  Now hope does not disappoint… —Romans 5:3 - 5a

For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. —Romans 15:4

4. The treasure of love through His sacrifice.

5b Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
6  For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
8  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. —Romans 5:5b - 8
