Psalm 86:15
But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
Proverbs 14:29
Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.
Proverbs 15:18
A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict, but the one who is patient calms a quarrel.
Ephesians 4:26
In your anger do not sin; Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,
Read Psalm 86:15
- This verse presents 5 attributes of God. What are they? Take a moment to discuss or define each of them.
- “Slow to anger” is a wonderful trait. What helps you to be slow to anger with others. What can make you a little less slow to anger with others?

- Based on this verse, would those who know you best say you were more foolish or more understanding? Why?

- Can you think of a time when somebody’s patience calmed a quarrel and brought peace into a situation that was previously hostile?
- What does it feel like to you when others around you stir up a conflict? What happens in your own mind and heart?

- Where in scripture can we find examples of people who were angry without sinning?
- Why is it so difficult to be angry and yet not sin?
