Study Guide
Step One: Open
Read 1 Corinthians 15:58 and pray to open your time together in God’s word.
Step Two: Icebreaker (Optional)
Which event in Jesus’ life would you most like to have witnessed in person? Christ’s birth, Christ’s crucifixion, Christ’s resurrection, or another?
Step Three: Discuss
- What stood out to you the most in this weekend’s teaching? What was challenging, encouraging, or confusing to you?
- How would you describe the Christian concept of hope as it relates to looking back, looking ahead, and looking within?
- To stand firm in the victory of Christ, people need to understand and accept what He has done for us. How did God finally and completely take away the sting of death according to Romans 5:12-17?
- Jesus prioritized His “work” for His followers by giving His authority and power to share His gospel message. See Matthew 28:18-20. How would you explain this good news to a friend who is interested in finding and following Jesus?
- Read Revelation 20:6 and talk about what it means to “share in the first resurrection.”
- How are your priorities and choices altered as a result of being reminded about Christ’s resurrection as well as the power of His resurrection in the life of a Christ follower?
Step Four: Close in Prayer
