John 3:8 | NIV84 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:25 | NIV84 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Romans 8:14 | NCV The true children of God are those who let God’s Spirit lead them.

We will only find our true identity and purpose when God empowers and propels our lives.

“If the Holy Spirit was withdrawn from the church today, ninety-five percent of what we do would go on and no one would know the difference. If the Holy Spirit had been withdrawn from the New Testament church ninety-five percent of what they did would stop and everybody would know the difference.” -A.W. Tozer

“If God’s Spirit was suddenly absent from your life, how long would it take for you or anyone else to notice?”

Romans 8:11 | NIV84 The Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you.

Romans 8:31 | NIV84 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

The wind is blowing like never before, and God wants to move His Church to action like never before.

Acts 1:8 | NIV84 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Gentiles

Cornelius

Acts 10:2 | NIV84 He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly.

Acts 10:4-6 | NIV84 “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God. Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man named Simon who is called Peter. He is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea.”

Acts 10:9-16 | NIV84 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.” “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.” The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.” This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.

Acts 10:14 | NIV84 “Surely not, Lord!”

Acts 10:14 | NIRV “No Lord! I will not!”

Have you ever told God “no?”

Proverbs 14:12 | NIV84 There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death

Catching the wind means trusting that God is God and I am not!

Acts 10:15 | NIV84 “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

Acts 2:17 | NIV In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.

Matthew 28:19-20 | NIV Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…

Acts 10:28 | NIV84 He said to them: “You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with a Gentile or visit him. But God has shown me that I should not call any man impure or unclean.

God’s heart beats for all people everywhere.

Romans 10:17 | NCV So faith comes from hearing the Good News, and people hear the Good News when someone tells them about Christ.

God continues to work on us even as He’s working through us.

Acts 10:47 | NIV84 Then Peter said, “Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water?”

What’s keeping you from catching the wind?
