11 Besides this you know the time,
that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep.
For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.
12 The night is far gone; the day is at hand.
So then let us cast off the works of darkness
and put on the armor of light.
13 Let us walk properly as in the daytime,
not in orgies and drunkenness,
not in sexual immorality and sensuality,
not in quarreling and jealousy.
14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ,
and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

WHY is NOW the time to WAKE UP?
Because…

11 … you know the time…
What is the time or season that we are in?

30 The times of ignorance God overlooked,
but now he commands all people everywhere to repent,
31 because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world
in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed;
and of this he has given assurance to all
by raising him from the dead.”
WHY is NOW the time to WAKE UP?
Because…

11 … salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.
Salvation has three stages:
Justification, Sanctification, Glorification.

and those whom he justified he also glorified.

2 Beloved, we are God’s children now,
and what we will be has not yet appeared;
but we know that when he appears we shall be like him,

51 Behold! I tell you a mystery.
We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound,

and we shall be changed.
WHY is NOW the time to WAKE UP?

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world.
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world–
the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life
–is not from the Father but is from the world.
As Christians we live in an already, not yet state.
